I'm glad you're here.
I started my own journey after taking a hard long look at myself in the full length dressing room mirror in 2009. I stood there asking myself many questions. Some these were:
How did I get here?
Do I really want to go up another size? (24 was the size I was trying on that day.)
Do I want to be on cholesterol medicine?
Do I want to risk having type 2 diabetes?
Why does my back hurt all the time?
Why do I get winded going up stairs?
Why does it seem like I'm always tired?
The answer to some of these questions was because while I knew that I should eat healthy, I didn't make it a priority or even know where to start. From that day, I knew that I had to start somewhere.
It started with a goal in mind and progressed to focusing on small changes that have lead to losing 100lbs and keeping it off for 9 years and counting. Now I want to empower you to take charge of your health and fitness by sharing those small changes.
I'm passionate about helping others on their fitness journey and want walk with you from beginning to goal. It certainly didn't happen over night and would never had happened for me if I didn't implement the changes little by little.
I'm an educator at heart and still work in education full time. I love the various staff members I work with and it wouldn't be the same without each of them.
I hope that you will not only walk away with new habits but be filled with knowledge as to why each of the program components are important to living a long healthy life.
In my free time, I'm a proud fur baby mom to one dog, Altan and a cat, Nyan. These boys and my MR. enjoy all the good smells and eats of my cooking and baking. I also enjoy crafting, designing layouts for my Erin Condren Life Planner and practicing hand lettering.
